I am a classically trained singer, vocal arranger, songwriter and voice teacher with extensive recording experience with local DIY bands. I'm looking to work and collaborate more seriously with a wider variety of musicians and am excited to help you embody your musical vision and meet your goals.
As an efficient, professional, and classically trained vocalist, I am able to offer several different services:
If you have a vocal part already written I can learn it from sheet music or scratch tracks on my own before entering into the studio to record it for use on your song.
If you have a song with lead vocals already written that needs additional vocals but you have not yet written them, I can work independently or with you to create backup or lead vocals to compliment your work and meet your needs and record it for your use.
If you have a song with instrumentals written that needs lead and/or backup vocals I can work independently or collaboratively to write lyrics, vocal melodies, and backup or lead vocals as needed to compliment your work and meet your needs and record it for your use.
I bring enthusiasm, positivity, timeliness, and professionalism to any team I join and love working with musicians from diverse backgrounds and genres. I have experience with a wide variety of genres and environments from classical recitals in recital halls to choirs in cathedrals to punk bands in bars and basements and I work well with almost all environments and musicians.

Interview with Becka Lundy
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: When an original idea or vocal track from me just meshes perfectly with the client's vision and desires. I also love hearing the tracks all together and making decisions about the best one!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My main project, Flamingo Chicks, is a powerpop punk band. I also work with Science Book, a synth pop band, as well as Xoul Kool, a classic rock influenced project. I also regularly practice singing classically and still take classical voice lessons.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is probably my flexibility. As a classically trained vocalist with experience in a wide variety of genres, I am able to meet a variety of tastes an expectations in terms of sound, genre, and "feel." Additionally, my experience as a voice and yoga teacher has made me patient and open to all creative and learning styles.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring balanced, beautiful, and accurate vocals and the ability to take constructive criticism as well as an open mind, high energy, and creative vocal lines. I am a fast learner who is able to pick up pre-written vocal lines quickly and a strong improviser who is able to come up with vocal lines in the studio if needed.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: As a professional musician, I bring a sense of professionalism and efficiency to my work. I love singing, but I treat it as a job: I am always on time to rehearsals and load-ins, I show up with my music learned and mastered when necessary, and I am on-task and focused during practices, set-ups, and recording sessions. I work best and am most inspired by other musicians who take their craft seriously and use their time well.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The work I do with other musicians tends to be one of two things: either I enter into their band as a backup vocalist or session vocalist after the vocal lines have already been written and I learn, perform, and record them or I enter into their creative process earlier than that, hearing the song as it is written and adding vocal lines for harmonies, texture, and artistic effect and working with feedback from the songwriter or band to select the best tracks and lines to use for their songs.
