POSSE is an electronic DJ / Production duo based out of Brooklyn, New York City, consisting of Justin Rodriguez and Chris Lopez. Their music captures the raw energy of old school hip hop/breaks while infusing it with today’s progressive bass & garage scene, and has gained support from the likes of Diplo and Skrillex.

With a vision of promoting urban art and ideas, the duo aims to have nothing but the music speaking for itself. All three of their releases have been featured on HypeM and their music has been played by KCRW Radio and Diplo & Friends BBC Radio 1xtra, as well as supported by EDM Tunes and Audiophile Deep. Posse made a big splash in the EDM scene with their groundbreaking single “Gravity” which was a genre defying record that took the R&B of the 90’s and blended it with modern bass and garage. It received early support from Sammy Porter, Funkin Matt, Matisse & Sadko, Candyland, Vinnie Maniscalco, and KREAM and garnered 250K+ plays across channels that premiered it within the first 2 months of release. “Gravity” went on to be featured by Dancing Astronaut, YourEdm, EDM.com – Deep Sounds, EDM Lead, Vice’s-Thump, Bassness Music, Dope Mag, and Machete Gold. “Gravity” manged to make it as Posse’s 5th feature onto HypeM, reaching #28 on the Top Twitter Charts! Their music continues to gain the support of major acts like Axwell, Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Gregor Salto, HeRobust, Hotel Garuda,AC Slater, Shiba San, Kayliox, Lucas & Steve, Pep & Rash, and more.
