I'm J. Jay. I'm a songwriter, producer, and engineer with 5 years experience and a bachelor's degree in "Music Industry & Technology" (composition/production/engineering/music business). I might not be right for your project if it calls for basic, vanilla lyrics. I add value to songs by helping them to become catchy, relatable, visceral, and emotionally-gripping. When it comes to lyrics, I like to find a balance between painting a vivid mental picture, yet still keeping the content approachable to the listener. I can write at a professional level in any genre. I specialize in pop, hip hop, EDM, and country. These are just a few of the artists who I specialize in the writing style of: Selena Gomez, Drake, Sam Hunt, Maren Morris, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, Taylor Swift, Bebe Rexha, Migos, The Chainsmokers, Ed Sheehan, and Chris Stapleton. I work quickly. With that being said, I strive to not turn in a project until I am 100% satisfied and proud of my work. In certain scenarios, I can send you your finished project within 24-48 hours. Other times, it can take up to 1 week. Prices vary depending on the project, as well as how quickly you want it to be completed.
