Flavia Barbacetto on SoundBetter

I am an Italian professional singer with years of experience in many different styles (jazz, blues, pop, electro swing, musical theatre). I provide high quality vocal recordings, thanks to a well equipped home studio. I'm specialized in BGV and harmonization, as well as Lead Vocals. I'm also specialized in 20'-30'-40's jazz and blues.

I started working as a singer in theatres and at the age of 19, after studying musical theatre in two prestigious Italian academies. I've singed in many important theatres, clubs and Festivals, in and out of Italy ('The Blue Note' in Milan, 'Montreux jazz Festival', 'Teatro Verdi' in Florence, 'Arona jazz Festival' and many others), and I've recorded vocals for Italian films and fictions. I've been singing in a swing vocal trio, 'The Blue Dolls', for 6 years, recreating the sound of 'The Andrews sisters', 'The Boswell sisters' and 'Trio Lescano' in our live concerts and recording vocals for the European TV fiction 'Le ragazze dello swing'. I'm also part of 'Almost 3', an experimental voice and cello duo.
I sing and play the washboard in the "St. Mud Avenue", a traditional stomp blues, jug and rag time band. The quintet debut took place on June 2014 on the prestigious stage of the Italian Final Selection of the International Blues Challenge (I.B.C.), where St. Mud Avenue conquered the second place.
In 2013, I founded 'The Swingalong Electro Arena', whose 'Why don't you do right' cover has been published on the international compilation 'The Electro Swing Revolution, Vol. 5'.
Thanks to my home studio, I've recorded dozens of lead and BGV for both my and other musicians' songs. I often collaborate with Stefano Cabrera, composer, arranger and session cellist.
