Interview with Dylan Jaynes
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started playing guitar and singing in bands when I was 10. Through high school friends of mine and I would have concerts at the only venue in our small town. I attended Belmont University after high school and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Audio Engineering. Throughout college to now I have been working with many songwriters as an engineer and guitarist, and currently play at Crosspointe Church.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I am based in Blues-Rock. Listening heavily to Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, and Pink Floyd, growing up. But in my late teens I found a deep love for U2 and have been since. Essentially I want to be a part of songs with energy and feeling. Creating that type of music is what reminds me of why I loved it in the first place.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with the band Dawes. They have such a fantastic ear for each of their respective elements in the band and ultimately create raw and original music.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: I bring a valuable skillset in production techniques. With a degree from Belmont in Audio Engineering and more than a decade of guitar/vocals in live and studio, I can help create the project you want.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I cater to the artist; I am very flexible with scheduling and work flow but ultimately love to being actively working always. Let's get the idea for the project in our sights, and go make it happen.
