Molly Moore on SoundBetter

I'm a published songwriter (Concord Music Publishing), artist & 1/2 of Cosmos & Creature with Brandyn Burnette (Sony ATV). Recent single prod. by Steve Aoki. Written for artists like Jesse McCartney & had a #1 with K-Pop group "EXO". Have 200 million streams independently & my voice/songwriting has been featured by Zales, Toyota, MTV, VH1

I grew up writing songs/performing & for the last 5 years have been lucky enough to make it my full time job. I'm able to write songs from scratch or over pre-existing instrumentals, I specialize in pop, rnb, dance/edm, soul, rock, hip-hop, k-pop.

*Co-writes I retain my publishing rights via Concord Music Group, % varies project to project*

I'm also able to sing pre-existing demos or track vocals for the song I write over your instrumental. My songwriting/vocals have been featured on tracks released by Columbia Records, Kobalt, Universal, Spinnin Records, Dim Mak (Steve Aoki-owned label), PRMD Music, Ultra Music, SM Entertainment

  10. A: I will always put my whole heart into anything I do. I will always work on it until you're satisfied.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I get to be creative, I get to help other people express their creativity through collaboration.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Do you need the mp3? my answer is: yes! Can you record doubles/harmonies?: my answer is: yes! Am I able to release this song?: my answer is yes! (let's discuss further details)

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I think the biggest misconception is that it's super challenging. While it definitely can have setbacks, making music is a very blessed skill to have & it's a lot of fun to capitalize on potential & inspiration. I feel very lucky to do what I do.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What kind of publishing/master split are you thinking for this? Are you looking to feature my name if you use my vocals for a release?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Communicate clearly & quickly for the best result.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  30. A: Stay minimal but weird

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Progressive soul, pop, electronic

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Songwriting.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I love catchy melodies & word play. it's so much fun to tell a story that's unique, different, not just about the typical things people tend to write about, but still very relatable and accessible. I like to explore different sides of myself, tap into different characters and always try to self-edit and make sure it's the best it can be. most importantly, music is healing for me. I am always trying to spread love and a positive message.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I like to record my first pass of melodies/lyrics and work from there if I like the vibe. Sometimes I'll start with a voice note idea I've already recorded or a title/text note/concept. I try not to force it and let the inspiration come to me if I get stuck at all.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I have an apollo twin interface, m-audio monitors, slate digital VSR microphone with the preamp, fender duosonic electric guitar, vintage korg sv1 keyboard, alesis 8 piece electronic drumkit

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Writing a song over a pre-existing track, singing & tracking the vocal.
