Have you ever heard the phrase "A jack of all trades is a master of none"?

This phrase doesn't apply to Josh.

He's basically a master of everything. An incredible songwriter, outstanding producer, formidable talent... Seriously, you can't do better than Josh. Having had the opportunity to work with him countless times, I can tell you he is organized, timely, and delivers awesome quality in everything he does. On top of that, he's warm, personable, and a breeze to work with. I would take any excuse I could to work with him again. Just hire him and see for yourself!

If you are looking for a unique sound to stand out from everyone else, do yourself a favor and ask Josh for help. He has an amazing tone that will interest any ear listening. And his overall understanding of sound, mixing, and producing is really not justifiably for what this price is!

I absolutely love working with Josh! He’s an incredibly skilled songwriter and producer and has really helped me taking my projects to the next level!
He keeps blowing my mind with the melodies and lyrics he comes up with. Such a creative mind! Also, I think it is hard to find anyone, who can make vocals sound better than this guy! Will definitely work with him on many more upcoming projects!

Josh is hands down one of my favorite people to work with. He can create the dopest sounds and melodies, is super precise, and is super quick without forfeiting quality.

Interview with Josh Harms

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: At the end of the day the song and melody is the most important thing. I think that the production can and will be as powerful when the song is based around it solely, but if a melody is stuck in your head and you got someone singing those lyrics in the shower... you got them 100%.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: I tend to focus my work top 40, pop, electronic, and R&B. This spectrum is what I feel the most comfortable in and ultimately have created some of the biggest records from. However, if you're looking to create a song in a different genre and want to have a very unique feel to it, feel free to message me to discuss!

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: I would say I bring a new and fresh sound to most of my records. I've been recording and writing for about 9 years and over time have truly developed a sound that is uniquely mine. With your tracks I'll be able to do the same.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: I focus a lot of my attention on detail. I like to get the "feel" and melodies down to a point where the song really grabs you sonically and then add in the lyrics/ concepts as the song develops. I do however approach each song a little differently and find that my technique all depends on where the song is going and what its inspiration comes from.

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: I record on a Manley Cardioid into an apogee duet 2, run everything through pro tools and mix with a pair of ADAM speakers. Simple, yet a pop/top 40 dream setup and all I need to hit the ground running on every record!

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: I'm inspired everyday by all types of musicians and producers. I think anyone able to step away from the most common sounds and styles and add something unique to the music space really grabs my attention.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: My work is very commercial and "radio ready". From singing/songwriting to producing and audio engineering, I help clients get that "polished" sound while providing an exceptional experience from start to finish.
