15 years experience as a songwriter, session bassist, session guitarist, mix engineer, and mastering engineer.
I have over 15 years of experience in audio production and I’m a graduate of the Audio Recording Technology Institute’s comprehensive audio engineering program. My time at A.R.T.I. was spent learning about analog and digital recording equipment, mixing in stereo and surround formats, tracking, microphone placement, sound design, and mastering. I am an Avid-certified Pro Tools operator and have used the program in a professional capacity for the last 8 years. In addition to Pro Tools, I am equally comfortable using Logic Studio and also have a good deal of experience operating Fairlight audio systems.
I’ve also had the opportunity to intern for renowned mastering engineer Bob Katz at Digital Domain. During my time with Bob I read his book "Mastering Audio: The Art And The Science" and learned a great deal at his studio concerning audio mastering workflow, advanced dynamics processing, cable management/fabrication, and client relations.
I also have a great deal of experience as a musician, music educator, and composer. I’ve given guitar and audio production lessons since 2010 through a number of local institutions. In my time studying at the University of Maine and Western Connecticut State University I learned a great deal about music theory, arranging concepts, composition, and improvisation.
