I'm a record producer who has a strong focus on enhancing emotional depth in any work I touch no matter when you bring me in. I always bring in a human touch to ensure it sounds and feels human even in technical roles like Mixing and Mastering. I blend between perfect and imperfect to find depth, where's it's humanly perfect. No AI, pure depth.
My main skillsets are the technical side, Mixing, Mastering & Production. Over-time of honing my skills I learnt to not only hit commercial standards, but to also find emotional touch to make it perfectly human rather than too perfect, or not polished. Further understanding of your needs further adds into the emotional touch as the sound now then aligns with you.
A bridge between technical, emotion and alignment, that's what you will always get from me. That plus, my professionalism to always provide a 5-star service to you regardless of metrics and numbers. If you require a pro who is consistent and to grow long-term, I'm the one for you.
I handled and oversaw the entire music production from A to Z covering Ideation, Arrangement (Leading Teams of Creatives & Musicians), Production, Mixing and Mastering while at the same time focus on emotional depth not in just in music but with my clients as well. I see everyone as Partners in my journey long-term.
If you have any doubts and concerns which needs consulting, my inbox is always open. Even if you purely want to reach out to network and discuss about music business or production knowledge, it is still open to all. Let's connect and build something together! Pricing depends on complexity of project. Rate will be fair to both parties.

Endorse Eugene LaiInterview with Eugene Lai
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Almost all of my works. I feel proud because the clients all trust me to bring a voice note or a demo to it's final polished version that combines both technical and emotions together to compete in the current music industry.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Blend of both as nowdays technology has advanced so much where we are able to obtain analog plugins in the digital realm.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Long-term professional growth and that we are all partners growing together regardless of metrics. Human first approach, always.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That producers have to do everything themselves. It's true if the producers themselves are creatives first (musicians, or singers, etc). Somehow, there's magic in learning technical first like me, I eventually learn to bring my strengths and bridge my weaknesses with other creatives who have their own strengths. Thus making the final product even stronger and unique because the depth or puzzle pieces are more unique to that project compared to the other guy who does all himself.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just reach out to me, I will always try my best to make you feel comfortable and at ease with whatever concerns or doubts you may have. Even if it's just to seek network or knowledge, the door is always open.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Communicate with client to further understand their needs, and suggest solutions depending on budget and fit. Then once the project is ongoing, we work on it together until client is satisfied.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I mainly work in the Box and in my DAW for now. Knowledge and depth of the tools is far more important than having massive gear.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Music professionals be it engineers, musicians, label owners etc who all treat music as a professional business and at a standard where we although it being a human business, we blend both the technical and human to make it sustainable for everyone. Like a business.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Instrumental demos for pitching.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Being able to enhance things in general and to see my client satisfied with the work I've done.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Questions about their project to understand problem areas and the goals and expectations of the client.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 8 Years of Production, 2 years interning with MFMF., 3 years mentored by Mike Chan, founder of FAITHFUL Music. The rest are continuous self-growth and self-discovery.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: There's gold in simplicity.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly Pop world though usually could do a variety of genres depending on client's budget as I can lead and guide musicians and creatives if I were to work on genres outside my comfort zone. Though my default is really Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing and mastering. Imagine combining human emotion of feeling into something that is technical. Definitely one of my goals to keep on being better. Learning not just technical but to also make it emotionally resonant.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Enhancing emotional depth in songs. Finding the human touch while ensuring it's commercial quality. Sometimes it's just enhancing whatever was there. Could even be as simple as recording a musician. Or could be a mix issue. All depends on the song.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Would say being the Producer and bridger to connect all necessary creatives to get the project done. I handled and oversaw the whole production process from A to Z covering Ideation, Leading Teams of Creatives, Arrangement, Production, Mixing & Mastering. All that plus strong focus on the emotional human depth in the work that I do, and for my clients and even my collaborators who I see as my partners for life.
