Interview with IamQrock

  1. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  2. A: Davion Farris is an amazing singer/songwriter. I'd also recommend J-Doe. They're actually featured on the song here on my page. If you need a writer definitely hit them up.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Advice i'd give would be to be as detailed and upfront about what you want as possible. The more I know the better I can assist you with your needs.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: As a creative I like being able to inspire and potentially change lives with my musical interpretations and art. I love that.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: My style is interesting it’s not just one thing but my drums will ALWAYS hit HARD! No matter what genre my production will always have a bit of an Urban Flare to it.

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: I’d love to work with Jon Bellion he has such a brilliant and witty way of creating a song I feel like we’d make incredible music together.

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Two tips I’d like to share is never over think things. We as creatives sometimes get too caught in the technical aspects of things and that can hurt the process of just making good quality music. Another tip I’d like to add is work with people who inspire you and that are inspired by you. For me personally I’ve made the best music with artists by keeping these two tips.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: I'd say being able to adapt is 1st and making quality music would be a close 2nd in terms of strongest skills.

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: My set up is really small I have a MSI gaming laptop that I run FL studios on and various VST plugins and drum kits. Headphones I’m using the Audio Technica M50x pretty minimal set up.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I work on all kinds. I listen to everything so when an opportunity presents itself I’m able to produce what’s needed no matter the genre.

  19. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  20. A: Whatever the artists vision is it’s my job to make it happen for them. If the artist has no vision. It’s then my job to help them figure it out and provide direction and come up with a solid and quality piece of art that satisfies the artist.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: Timbaland is a huge reason why my sound is the way it is. He’s my biggest musical influence when it comes to production. Amongst my peers I love music by Jon Bellion and Lauv. Incredible Producers/Songwriters/Artists. Steven J Collins one of the most incredible music minds I’ve have the pleasure of working with in person.
