I own and operate Plastic Soul Studios in the heart of Montreal working with local and international talent. My work has been featured on such sites as Pitchfork, Stereogum, NPR, PopMatters, and Exclaim. Working with artist in every genre on larger labels but also turning independent artists work into polished industry level productions.
My recording studio has two live rooms and two mixing rooms. I spend part of my time one on one with artists producing full albums, arranging, and when requested helping out on guitar and keyboards, and the other half of my time mixing and mastering albums from around the world from various artist via file sharing. I can take your DIY bedroom recordings and turn them into professional industry grade productions ready for radio, while at the same time I mainly work with professionally recorded material and add even more sonic clarity to the sound field. I am also a skilled arranger and composer who plays guitar, bass, and keyboards. As a musician and singer Ive been featured on many bands albums as a musician, writer, and arranger (Fleece, The Sad Birthdays, Fred Thomas).

Endorse Colin SprattDesolation Sound headed into Plastic Soul Studios - ran by Colin - to get some quick and dirty demos done. By the time we were finished we had 4 quality songs mixed and mastered. Colin was a fantastic producer and had tones of knowledge to give us about recording. I highly recommend working with this guy if you need songs quickly and professionally produced.
Highly recommend Colin, specifically to musicians who are looking for an engineer/producer to assist them generate a unique overall sound. He was very responsive to my comments in the mixing/mastering stages of recording my solo-project album, and I couldn't be happier with the results. He is also great at keeping a positive vibe going in the studio. A+
Colin is super knowledgeable about his work, very friendly and fun to work with and makes recording, mixing, and mastering very easy. I'd highly recommend working with him on whatever music you're working on
Colin recorded and mixed my band a year back and I'm really happy with how clean the sound came out! He's knowlegable, and furthermore, Colin is the kind of guy you can easily spend a full day recording with. Definitely going to be using his services again at the new location :)
