My name is Zach Zyla, I am a multi-instrumentalist, multi-genre songwriter, recording, mix and mastering engineer with experience to take songs from writing to distribution all comfortably in my home studio. I play guitar, bass, drums, vocals and some keys.
I enjoy being both sides of a very different coin as both artist and engineer, it has allowed me to understand the disciplines and abilities needed for both positions. And because of that I understand the passion that goes into writing music and believe that it should be reciprocated and carried throughout the entire process. I take that same passion into all projects I work on, whether they be my own or someone else’s.
As an engineer I hope to accomplish many things, but the foremost important thing is continuing to grow my knowledge. New ideas, new processes, new recording techniques, new technologies. No matter how seasoned of an engineer you may be, there’s always something more to learn and that’s why I love this field so much, it keeps you on your toes. My plate could be full, and I’ll still ask for more!
