Professional singer and songwriter based in Switzerland, that can work in different genres. I love to get creative and find that powerful lyric and melody for your song, that keeps your heart pounding for the rest of the year.

Next to having my own solo project, I have been singing as a backing vocalist under the alias of 'Jasmin Pearl' before I decided to take on my own name for all my musical work. I sang for amongst others, Swiss artists Patric Scott and Jesse Ritch. more information available

To stay on top of my game, and provide good quality vocals, I train my vocal performance every week with Brad Chapman (Grammy award winning pre production vocal coach, working with amongst others Anita Baker, Annie Lenox, Kevin Cronin, Quincy Jones.
I'm a very versatile writer, and I can work in multiple genres. My strongest suit is Pop / Indiepop / ballads / with melodical and emotional sensibility. I think a powerful song makes you feel emotions you didn't know you had, and makes you hum along the rest of the year.

I provide high quality vocals with thought out of top line melodies, and am not afraid to use metaphors. I work out of a home studio (Focusright Scarlett 2i4, Audio Technica, Yamaha stage piano, Logic). I also have access to professional studios if needed, on request.

Ob Lead- oder Backing-Vocals: She is the one!

Interview with Ingeborg

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: The project I am very proud of at the moment is my project Lost Stars. A song I wrote and sing for charity to create awareness for refugees and fight human trafficking. The project is ongoing, and it feels good to contribute to an important cause! Every day I realize how blessed I am, living my life here in peace and harmony while other people live in complete distress and fear of losing everything due to war, suppression, and violence. I believe it is, therefore, my responsibility as a musician to use my talent and gift to help to create awareness and help to create a better life for these people.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am working on a solo project at the moment. It is going to be an EP, and I am preparing for the studio as we speak. References I used for my own work are Coldplay, Anna of the North, Aurora, Walking on Cars

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I worked with Amber recently and she has such an open personality and creative mind! I would recommend working with her for sure. Loved writing her song 'The Greenhouse' Can't wait to hear her voice on the track!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: both! 80's kid you know, like the analog, grew up with it. But since we are in the Digital era now, I'm ok with that just as much, has created more accessible options for everyone

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: A good quality product they can be proud of! I will give my best. It is about delivering a good service that satisfies the need of the customer and to make sure it fits their style, sound, brand, and journey. Also, I keep in mind that songs need to be interesting for radio airplay!

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: How do you start a song - I always tell them, I just start, sit down with my water and coffee behind the piano. My laptop on Logic and I start playing some notes on the keyboard, or I listen to songs from different styles looking for a certain vibe! Isn't it hard to find inspiration? Nope! Inspiration comes by doing. It means, just start by playing, it is like a game where you will discover things along the way, like a little quest! Through research and experimenting, you will create a new formula!

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: That it is a hobby and people don't realize the effort you need to put into your work. That it comes with practice every day!

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: - Who are you - What is your goal with the song - Name 3 things that bring a smile to your face - What topics keep you busy in life - Is there a passion in life - Is there a sad moment in life - Name a recent event that stuck with you - What makes you jump out of bed

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Prepare yourself by writing down what your idea is, topic and references, what is your aim with this song. Just so you have a clear idea first before you share it with me.

  19. Q: How would you describe your style?

  20. A: Melodical, with a touch of the 80's. I am an 80s kid you know!

  21. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  22. A: I would love to work with Chris Martin and the whole band Coldplay. I love their lyrics and their fresh instrumental ideas on songs. Such an inspiration.

  23. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  24. A: Don't wait for inspiration to start! Start and get inspired by pushing the buttons. Listen to songs to get a vibe that you like and just begin!

  25. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  26. A: I am pretty versatile when it comes to genres. But my heart pounds for indie-pop, Nordic. I just love that genre. It doesn't limit me though! I am a music lover in general

  27. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  28. A: expressing emotions through meaningful lyrics and vocals. I love poetry and metaphors.

  29. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  30. A: A strong meaningful content with an emotional flow. Also, I love to bring color to a song with a creative input on backing vocals to make the song stand out even more.

  31. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  32. A: I work out of a home studio, with my Yamaha stage piano, Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, and Audio Technica microphone. I use Logic Pro X to record my vocals and write instrumental ideas.

  33. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  34. A: There are many musicians that inspire me, Coldplay, Walking on Cars and X-Ambassadors are totally keeping my mind spinning. Of course U2, Sia, Jessie J, Katy Perry, Paul Epworth, One Republic, Ryan Tedder are on top of my list. But as I have been diving into the Nordic Pop sounds and I have become a great fan of Aurora and Anna of the North.

  35. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  36. A: Songwriting (lyrics, topline, melodies) Features for Artists and DJ's Demo Vocals, Backing vocals

  37. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  38. A: A guitar, my iPhone 7 (with GarageBand) Multi charger solar kit with a cable to connect the phone Sunglasses Umbrella The rest I will discover on the island

  39. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  40. A: My career path in music is to become a Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and vocalist, with a profound portfolio of songs. I sang ever since I was a kid. I would always tell my parents I will be a singer. They had another plan for me in mind though, so it was working on my dream on the side for a long time, until I broke the chain 6 years ago and dove in, head first. It has gone uphill from there! Focus and mindset is the key!

  41. Q: What's your typical work process?

  42. A: My workflow varies depending on your starting point, I am quite flexible there to be honest. I don't want to feel caged into fixed patterns. But first let's sit down and talk. We can connect over Email and/or Skype, no problem. I will interview you, to get a feel of who you are, what your journey is in life, topics that keep you busy, what is your plan with your song. We will have a nice chat! - Give me an instrumental and the lyrical topic, I start writing topline and then lyrics. - You don't have an instrumental available but there is a lyrical topic, I use either a piano or synth to create a reference melody and rhythm and start writing from that point - If there is only an instrumental available but no topic or theme, I think about the emotion it brings, and use that to decide on topic topline and lyrics, or i might get funky and do the opposite of what you expected to surprise you. - I prefer creating topline before I am writing the lyrics.

  43. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  44. A: I get to work with full passion and deliver from the heart. It makes me get up early every morning being feeling happy and meaningful in life.
