check_circleVerifiedMatt was excellent. Really talented, great at interpreting what I meant when I had subjective input on the mixes, and also super fast. Highly recommend, will be working with him again.
check_circleVerifiedOnce again Matt was excellent to work with: efficient, communicative, and delivered a fantastic mix and master. We're looking forward to our next collaboration!
check_circleVerifiedMatt was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the start, he approached the song with real care for emotion and flow, not just technical polish. He has a great instinct for dynamics and arrangement, especially in how he helped the track breathe and build naturally rather than feel overworked. As someone still learning vocal-forward songwriting, I appreciated his patience, clear communication, and instinct for serving the song. I’d happily work with him again and highly recommend him!
check_circleVerifiedMatt delivered incredibly thoughtful and actionable feedback. He immediately understood the song’s strengths and focused on subtle production and dynamic improvements rather than unnecessary changes. The notes were clear, detailed, and very respectful of the artistic vision - exactly the kind of external perspective that helps elevate a track in its final stage. Highly recommended.

check_circleVerifiedMath Bishop is easy to work with and delivers clean, polished mixes that stay true to the song’s original vibe. Reliable, professional, and always release-ready.
check_circleVerifiedThe song is deliberately unpredictable and follows no fixed rhythm. This freedom gives it a raw, vulnerable, and honest quality, while demanding a great deal of dedication in the process. The result feels immediate and alive - less like a studio recording and more like a moment unfolding in real time.
And Matt absolutely nailed it.

Interview with Matt Bishop
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: As an engineer on U2's "Songs Of Experience" it was a very high pressure environment that had no room for error. It was a lot of hard work and long hours that helped me learn a lot about myself. It was such an honor to be able to create music with true living legends.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I cant live without either. The convenience of digital mixed with the unpredictability of analog is really the golden ticket.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To help them achieve something they will be proud of.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the variety in what I do. I love being able to help someone realize the full potential in their art.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Universal Apollo Interface, Stratocaster, Juno 6, SM7
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been working full time as a producer/mixer/engineer for the last 11 years in Los Angeles. I started my career as an intern at Clearlake Audio in Burbank, CA. My time there allowed me to meet many people and make connections that lead to full-time engineering for producer Jacknife Lee. Working with Jacknife really allowed me to hone my skills and learn from some of the greatest musicians and producers in the world.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Perfect is boring
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Pro Tools and Logic are my DAW's of choice. I try and have instruments and gear that inspire creativity and exploration.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing & Production
