check_circleVerifiedMatt did an excellent job mixing and mastering my track. He really understood the atmosphere and dynamics I was aiming for, and the final result was exactly what I had envisioned. Communication was smooth, professional, and straightforward throughout the process. I'm very happy with the result and would absolutely recommend working with him!
check_circleVerifiedAlways impressed with the mix. Matt is also great for making a change when needed.
check_circleVerifiedI had a song that I wrote years ago and spent nearly a year recording, reworking, and adding production to. When you've poured that much time and energy into a record, finding the right mixing engineer is everything. Matt genuinely takes the time to understand your vision, communicates incredibly well, welcomes feedback, and knows exactly how to translate what you're hearing in your head into a finished record. Truly, Matt's talent and attention to detail are second to none!

We can’t wait to bring him more material and keep experimenting together with new sounds and ideas.
Thanks again, Matt!

Interview with Matt Bishop
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: As an engineer on U2's "Songs Of Experience" it was a very high pressure environment that had no room for error. It was a lot of hard work and long hours that helped me learn a lot about myself. It was such an honor to be able to create music with true living legends.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I cant live without either. The convenience of digital mixed with the unpredictability of analog is really the golden ticket.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To help them achieve something they will be proud of.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the variety in what I do. I love being able to help someone realize the full potential in their art.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Universal Apollo Interface, Stratocaster, Juno 6, SM7
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been working full time as a producer/mixer/engineer for the last 11 years in Los Angeles. I started my career as an intern at Clearlake Audio in Burbank, CA. My time there allowed me to meet many people and make connections that lead to full-time engineering for producer Jacknife Lee. Working with Jacknife really allowed me to hone my skills and learn from some of the greatest musicians and producers in the world.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Perfect is boring
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Pro Tools and Logic are my DAW's of choice. I try and have instruments and gear that inspire creativity and exploration.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing & Production
