Interview with Cameron Bloom
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently working with multiple pop artists on their music, with songwriters on tracks for publishing and working on the score for 4 short films.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I currently use my MacBook Pro for the majority of my work.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: If you can record through analog gear then that's great as it makes the process easier later in the line. In terms of sonically, there are a lot of plugins that can give you a similar sound to what you get from analog gear, and the majority of the people listening to your music won't be able to tell the difference.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't distract the listener away from the artist with your music.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on current pop music but I have a passion for 80's synth wave based productions.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I really like the production of Jack Garrett, and Benny Blanco, Ariel Rechtshaid, and Doc McKinney to name a few.
