  2. Review by Yan Perchuk

Ruslan is a Grammy winning musician for a reason. His tenacious attention to small details as well as his vision of a big picture allows him to deliver a well balanced and highly professional yet artistic product. I would hire him for any style or type of project without any hesitation.

  3. Review by Jonathan Hakakian

Ruslan is a consummate musician and, quite frankly, a creative prodigy. His exceptional musical sensibility, and dedication to his craft, are only surpassed by the boundless love he exudes when he plays a note on the piano.

We've worked on various projects together for the last 8 years, and Im always deeply inspired when we share in creativity with one another. 11 stars out of 10.

Who doesn’t want to have a Grammy winner who played with everybody on their project ? I had the pleasure of hiring Ruslan to more than one project by now… He’s by far one of the best musicians I ever worked with.
Always deliver the right parts with the right sounds… Always perform with sensitivity and intention and always easy to deal with!
YOU want and NEED Ruslan on your next project!

If you need a high profile, professional piano and keyboard player, than Ruslan is definitely you're guy. He gets the job done in no time, providing a high quality performance to the songs and more. Executing anything in any style and genre. I am grateful that I had the chance to work with such an amazing musician, and I can only highly recommend him for any project.

  6. Review by KrystaYoungs

Ruslan Sirota is one of the most talented musician / Songwriters I’ve ever had the chance to work with! We recently got a cut with Taeyeon, one of Korea’s biggest pop stars. The quality of his mucianship is priceless and his turnaround time is phenomenal. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Ruslan for your project! He won’t disappoint!!!

Interview with Ruslan Sirota

  1. Q: What's your typical work process?

  2. A: I listen to the song several times through and write a chart of the song for myself. By the time that's done I usually have a pretty solid idea of what I think the song needs, unless I have specific instructions from the client about what they want me to do on the song - in those cases I follow instructions.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: You will be 100% ecstatic about my work, or I will re-do it over and over.... until you are.

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: The biggest misconception is that you can't play more than one genre competently. I've toured with Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller and played on the upcoming Black Eye Peas album in the same year. I genuinely love different genres of music and make a living playing them.

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: What is the big picture for this musical piece? What is the general vibe?

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: If you have a specific vision for the song - say so, be specific. A real professional should be able to create a new vision for the song, if needed... AND execute your vision of the song, if needed.

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: I graduated Berklee College of Music and began working professionally in Boston. Then moved to LA two years later, and started touring and recording with a wider array of artists (listed in my bio). I've been playing music since age 4. Im 37.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Enhancing the song without ruining it.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: I try to find that exact balance of bringing myself to the song and make it feel fresh, yet not interrupt the message, the flow, and the general feeling of the piece. This is the magical balance. This is what I attempt to bring.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I’ve been fortunate to work with a wide range of folks. From the pop sound of NE-YO, to the classical sound of Josh Groban, to the soulful sound of Brian McKnight. Living in Los Angeles, one really has to be competent in different genres in order to remain a working pianist/keyboardist.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: Recording piano / keyboards parts on songs. String/Horn arranging, if the song calls for it.
