I am GeorgeRosa, producer and mixer based in Barcelona.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Last month co-producing something for a major label in Los Angeles with one of the best producers right now.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: With a great Latin artist of the mainstream of and whose name I can not reveal yet ;)

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: A lot of people.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digilog or Anatal.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: Commitment.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Lots of questions and lots of answers to type.

  15. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  16. A: My Room (if it can be considered as)

  17. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  18. A: I have been in music for 15 years, I started as a composer and performer, later as a producer, mixer and session musician

  19. Q: How would you describe your style?

  20. A: Big, Punchy, Critic and Personal

  21. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  22. A: Pop, Rock, Alternative or independent, Mainstream Pop

  23. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  24. A: My need to excel in each project

  25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  26. A: I think what I bring to a song is the vision of that point that we want to reach and we do not know how to explain.

  27. Q: What's your typical work process?

  28. A: My work process is based on talking to where we want to reach and once agreed, if it is a mix, normally I need a day or two to send something finished or ready to make small changes relative to balance etc. tweaking in general

  29. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  30. A: I have a professional studio located in Barcelona, fully conditioned and acoustically treated for recording and mixing work etc. I have professional monitors of the brand Quested Yamaha and KrK, an old console of the 70s handmade to treat the sound when necessary and Lynx converters, I work with Logic X and I have a great variety of the best plugins on the market.

  31. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  32. A: The professionals who inspire me most are those who have their own stamp and sound, their own characteristic way of doing.

  33. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  34. A: In matters of production and mixing, I guess I try to meet the artist I work with, know the project and where it is aimed to improve the workflow of the whole team, once this is ready, I will give the project a powerful sound capable of competing at the level of what sounds on the radio these days
