Mikael Johnston is a Producer, Engineer, Mixer & Remixer who's work has hit the Billboard Charts 18 times with 9 top tens and 4 number ones. His 20 years of experience runs the gamut of the music and recording industry going from independent artist to major label artist, producer and remixer to Billboard charting mixer and engineer.
As the co-producer and songwriter for the Warner Bros. act Mephisto Odyssey, Johnston has gained the reputation of an eclectic and a great remixer. Indeed, the remixes of “So What” by Jane’s Addiction first brought him to the attention of Warner Bros.’ in 1999, and the remixes of Static X’s album Machine (2001) brought Johnston full circle — back into the realm of rock where he started.
Following Johnston’s tenure at Warner Bros. he’s continued his diverse journey as an artist, engineer, mixer, remixer and producer working with such artists as: I am The World Trade Center, The Sounds, Smash Mouth, The Matches, Goapele, Mephisto Odyssey, Dresden & Johnston, Lily Allen, Morgan Page, BT, Enrique Iglesias, Nadia Ali, Some Ember, Blondie, Oh No & Chris Keys, TheCrystalMethod, The Lovemakers and Sleep Party People among others.

Sleep Party People – Floating(Blood & Biscuits) UK release date: 2 June 2014
Floating is Sleep Party People‘s third effort and is nothing short of an absolute joy to the eardrums. Following on from 2012’s We Were Drifting On A Sad Song, this latest effort sees Brian Batz’s sonic musical project soar once more.
- NBHAP Reviews Sleep Party People – ‘Floating’Sep 28, 2014
SLEEP PARTY PEOPLE – Floating...With producers Jeff Saltzman (THE KILLERS, MORRISSEY) and Mikael Johnston (BLONDIE, THE SOUNDS), Batz wrote and recorded most of Floating in San Francisco. His songs, as a result, take their former dreampop approach a little further.
