Platinum producer endorsed Mix Engineer with a specialty for making bold productions exciting and gentle productions pretty.
I'm a full-time Mix Engineer/Producer who specializes in indie rock, pop, folk, and melodically driven music. As a musician my whole life, I decided to focus on engineering/production in 2011. Through graduating from audio school, assisting at studios in Nashville for a few years, and working on my own, I've honed my skills for over a decade. My mixes and productions have accumulated millions of streams, and I work on hundreds of songs a year.
As an up-and-coming engineer, I've seen firsthand how a high-quality mix can help you reach new heights.
I would love to help your projects reach the next level with the expertise I've gained from my time in the music industry.

Jon mixed and mastered a track for my band (genre: indie rock) in a way that it brought our vision of the song into life to tbe fullest! It was an amazing experience working with Jon both because of his extensive skillset but also because of his character. I fully recommend working with him!

Absolutely fantastic, finding someone who captures that magic can be very hard but Jon delivered it with his first mix! He was great with communication and a true professional.

Always a pleasure. Multiplatinum producer says my voice never sounded better!
Jon's one of the best humans I have ever met. Seriously. Being around him is always a fun and positive experience. Oh, he also knows a thing or 2 about audio.
I initially contracted Jon for my solo piano piece. Not only was he incredibly receptive, he was extremely helpful and worked hard to all my requests. Having my best interest at heart, adding his own personal suggestions and flair (that enhanced the piece) there is a reason I return! My second piece was more complex. Multiple string recordings and piano. As someone that has a specific taste and vision in mind, it's comforting to know that Jon can accommodate and consistently bring this to life.
Very easy to work with and communicate with.
Brilliant engineer. He mixed and mastered one of my beats and the result was so professional. You'd be struggling to find better!
I contracted Jon's services to mix a very, very raw and low-quality recording I did. In less than a day, he made gold out of grain. I had tentatively mixed it on my own, and I might as well have been a three year old playing with pedals, when it was held up against Jon's finished product. The only flaws with it were my fault, due to the low quality of the raw recording. And, to make it more impressive, he had the finished product done in about a half a day, with prices that were, in my opinion, obscenely low for the quality and speed of work, not to mention the quick and ready communication!
Interview with Jon Paz-Gale
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Broadly, anyone who makes something that makes me feel. Music is at its best when you're not just listening to it, but when you're feeling it too. Two producer/engineers that keep coming up in liner notes (or Tidal credits) of records I love are Tucker Martine and Ethan Johns.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I started out in the field doing whatever I could - songwriting, producing, recording, mixing, sometimes all of the above. Within the past few years, I've turned my focus primarily toward mixing. I love that I get to be one part of a record's process. There's strength in a good team - I love hearing the creative choices that other people make, bringing my in own, and still holding true to the guiding light that is the artist's vision.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Yes. Always.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Let's talk through your goals. Don't be afraid to pick someone who might fit your needs better!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Sense of space is important to me. Finding the right space to place everything in makes the record feel cohesive, inspiring, real.
