I am a versatile vocalist with the ability to arrange for and perform in pop, jazz, rock, and big band settings.
I can learn and sing songs and arrangements at an advanced level in almost any genre, including singing in Spanish and Portuguese. I can also arrange for one or more vocals as well as various instruments, including rhythm section instruments, brass, woodwinds, and classical instruments. In addition to singing, I can accompany myself or another vocalist on guitar or piano/keyboard. For gigs requiring more instruments, I can contract musicians for an acoustic trio, five-piece pop/rock band, or jazz quartet.

Interview with Kira Morrison
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on my second EP of my original songs that will hopefully be released before the end of 2017.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Analisa Corral - she is a phenomenal songwriter, producer, and performer.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to be as professional as possible, and be a strong musician as well as a vocalist.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love bringing a smile to someone's face through music, or knowing that they related to what I have written or sung. I think the most powerful impact of music is the ability to inspire strong emotions and unite people through common experiences.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been singing for almost a decade and writing songs for about 7 years - I have always known that I want to become a touring recording artist, sharing my music with the world.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Taylor Swift because we write very similar music, and I'd love to get an inside look at her writing process, as well as perform on stage alongside her as a background vocalist.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mainly work on pop music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring an unique and warm vocal sound, emotion and energy, and a passion for the music I am creating.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Lady Gaga is my biggest inspiration ideologically and performance-wise, and she is the artist who gave me the courage to pursue music as a profession. Taylor Swift is a huge inspiration and musical influence on my original music. I am also very inspired by my amazing teachers and mentors who I've worked with, such as Tierney Sutton, Kacee Clanton, and Sara Leib.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I most often get hired to contract and perform with a group of musicians to provide entertainment at venues or private events, either performing my original music, covers, or jazz standards.
