Keifer Johnson is a session trombonist based in Atlanta, GA. During his years of session work, he has recorded backing horns for punk rock band '68, performed live with Grammy Award winning artist Ne-Yo, and performed for President Barack Obama.
My rates are negotiable, but a general guideline that I follow is as follows:
Single song
$100/track
$30/any additional layers
Multiple Songs
$75/track
$20/any additional layers
An arrangement fee of anywhere from $25-$50 MAY apply if:
1) There is a particular horn line wanted and not already created (trombone/horn solos are not included, and do not carry an additional fee)
*This depends on the complexity of the song
2) There is a need to create parts for an entire horn section.
I retain credits/ownership of any/all parts that I arrange.
