Experienced musician offering Analog/Digital mixing.
Experience Producer/instrumentalist will help you realize your vision towards a commercial mix.
I mix in a hybrid Digital/Analog studio where i get the best of both worlds, the flexibility of Digital with the sound quality of Analog.
Every project is different so pricing is flexible and i am dedicated to putting as much energy into your project as it needs.
It's very helpful to have commercially released references so that i can have a general direction for esthetics and also a rough mix of your song.

Working with Eran was fantastic; his mix worked very well and he was very attentive and communicative throughout the entire process. Hopefully we will continue collaborating together.
Eran is an excellent and efficient sound engineer, I hired Eran for complicated full band mixes, since Eran is also a professional musician, you get also music producer service, it like getting 2 for price of 1. Eran is my first choice for mixing and mastering.
I had the privilege of working with Eran Philips on a few singles. I got superb music production, wonderful creative sound, and tons of attention from Eran to my ideas and visions for the songs.
Eran has a great ear and I enjoy working with him again and again.
Highly recommended! If you are looking for someone to give your music the care it deserves. Eran Phillips will push to better your music and the advice that goes along the way is priceless.
Very accommodating, easy to work with, his skills are bar none. My fear is that one day i will not be able to afford him because he’s so good at what he does.
Interview with Eran Phillips
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mixing.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to keep at it till you absolutely love it.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask for commercial references, a rough mix, and a lot of questions about preferences.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Nile Rodgers. For the groove.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, Pop, Indie, EDM.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: As a mixing engineer i like to listen to commercial references clients send me which helps me identify the clients general sense of esthetics. As a producer I always first learn to play and sing your song. This is how I tap into the song's DNA and everything becomes easier for me after that. On guitar ...Lot's of noodling.. many different approaches .. with a decent software modeling sound I can try all kinds of things on the fly till I nail something that obviously belongs with the song. 2 or 3 of those options get sent to the client. Once the client is happy with the concept I get down to recording it for real.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: A digital/Analog hybrid. Pro tools.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most common type of work I do is Produce, Mix and track Guitars and Bass.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I produced a version of the classic Walk Away Ren'ee with the original song writer Tony Sansone.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog sounds better but digital is an incredible work flow and creative options. I use both.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Music is magic.. what else can I say..
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Go through as many people as you need to find the Right person!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A knife, a fire starter, A water Still, Rope and a Pair of Drum Sticks.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Groovy and raw.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Got to get the right people to get the job done. Music is culture and you can't hire a Jazz player to melt faces in a rock band. Get the right person and everything will be so much easier.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Taste. More than anything I want it to be unique and fresh.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I hope to give the song identity. Much like a clothing designer, an Identity to match it's personality.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Quincy Jones, Dave Grohl, David Gilmour, Jaco, Hendrix.
