Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been doing this for about 7 years. I've had a few different mentors that have taught me, and all my other experience has been hands on with different bands and artists.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Big, modern, clean, tight.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Bring Me the Horizon. They have such a perfect blend of metal, alternative, and electronic. I love the passion they bring to their sound.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Take breaks. Not only will your ears thank you, but your brain will to. Perspective is everything.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing and writing/producing are my strongest skills. I know how to make something sound the way you want it to.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a lot of creativity. I have an ear for keeping things sounding fresh. I also bring a lot of skill at making something that didn't sound so great at the start, sound amazing at the finish.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I apply a lot of thought to every project I take on. I like to keep communication with my clients while I'm working on mixing or editing their projects and have it back to them in a timely manner.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I keep a simple setup do to the online work I do. Using an Apollo Twin Duo, and plugins from UA, JST, and Waves, I can achieve just about any sound you are looking for!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am very inspired by all kinds of acoustic, pop, metal, and electronic artist. Anything or anyone who can come up with a huge, clean, and modern mix, I love.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I most commonly do mixing, timing, tuning, and production/writing for my clients. But I am not just limited to those areas. I can take a song from pre-production to polished and mastered :]
