I've got a rich, powerful, and smokey voice with a big range. I'm often hired to topline, track demos, create giant vocal stacks, and more. I'm also a multi-instrumentalist, who produces high quality tracks and songs. My collaborations here have led to #1s on Indie Soul Charts globally, and my voice has been featured in several TV shows in the U.S.
I have a powerful, sultry voice, and have long standing experience of writing songs with memorable hooks. I've been told I have a voice similar to India Arie, Joss Stone, Judith Hill, and more.
As a songwriter, I've worked with a number of independent artists from all different backgrounds and genres. Soul, R&B, and Blues are my primary genres, yet, I've been a songwriter and vocal producer for country, pop, and EDM artists.* (See below for details)
When you hire me you can expect quality. I do all comping, tuning, and editing before sending final tracks. I do have access to larger studios if necessary (with an additional cost). I can also offer services for instruments, such as guitar and bass work.

Interview with Amber Sweeney
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Geoff Ott is an amazing producer, mixer, engineer. He and I have worked on a number of projects, one of which is a new album that's going to be released in January 2017. If you're looking for someone to produce/mix/master your music, head straight over to his page, and let him help make sure your songs are the best they can be! Also, if you're in need of some bad-ass horns, I highly recommend Danny Flam of NewYorkBrass! He's a brilliant player/arranger. If you want quality, look for both Geoff Ott and Danny Flam.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I do a lot of R&B Hooks, EDM Top-Line Melodies and vocals, and rock/pop stuff.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Singing. Ha. I know it may seem obvious, but my strength lies in my voice and the ability to tell a story with it.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring emotion to each song. They each have a unique story to tell, and I do my best to make sure I'm telling that story in the way each client envisions it coming out of the speakers, and into your ears.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically, I like to listen to the song a few times, and get a feel for what my clients are after by listening to what they've already done. Once I can feel the song, then I get to work singing. I'll sing the song once through from top to bottom, and then go back and take it in sections, reviewing each section and comping along the way. After I feel satisfied that I've capture the emotion and tone, I'll do a final critical listen in order to make sure there aren't any hidden gems in other layers, or perhaps a note or phrase that could sit better with the rest of the song. Then I send an MP3 of what I've done to the client for them to give me feedback before bouncing down stems to send them. If any changes are requested, I'll make them, and then get a final approval and send off their shiny new vocals.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of the work I do with my clients involves singing their pre-written melodies and lyrics, as well as partnering with them to write melodies, lyrics, and even harmonies.
