Boundless creativity, rock-solid technical savvy and an indomitable need to please YOU!
I am a highly proficient keyboardist and engineer with a knack for beat production. Whether I create your track from scratch, arrange it, mix it or just add that extra synth part on top, you'll be getting high-grade, professional quality sounds that faithfully match industry standards. I work out of a DIY studio in Brooklyn full of terrific vintage and virtual gear. I use both Logic and Pro Tools.
I put my heart into every project I work on. There is nothing I love more than this craft.

Interview with Alex Bradford
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on an EP for a very talented singer-songwriter, Julie Hill. We've been tracking everything to tape and it's been a blast.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Analog for tone and warmth, digital for editing, MIDI, FX etc.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on all kinds of music, but mostly rock, alt-rock and roots rock.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work out of an analog/digital studio, often tracking through analog gear and editing in Pro Tools. If my client wants to track to tape, we use our 24-track for recording and then print to Pro Tools.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Patience. I work meticulously, attending to every detail, which is a necessary, time-consuming process. I have the patience to bring the client's vision to fruition, and I don't stop until that is achieved.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My imagination. I try to never limit myself, always keeping my mind open to new possibilities. When you approach a project this way, allow yourself to experiment and push boundaries, I find that the solutions tend to just fall in your lap.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Terrace Martin, Thundercat (Steven Bruner), Cory Henry, these guys seem utterly fearless in their playing and in their production. I gravitate towards musicians who do their own thing, regardless.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Carl Culley is one of my favorite vocalist/producers. His delivery is powerful, dynamic and soulful. We have worked together for over three years; his work certainly speaks for itself.
