Let's bring your music to life and create an interesting and immersive experience!

Hi, my name is Sebastian and I want to help you to bring your music to life!

Since I am also a music creator myself, and therefore had to give my music into the hands of others too, I totally understand how personally important your music is and how much it means to you - and that you don't want to lose control. This is why I actively want to work with you to achieve YOUR vision. :)

My recent credits as a composer, music producer and mixing engineer include "Aladdin (2019) - TV Trailers", "Glass - Official Trailer 2", “Pacific Rim: Uprising - Official Trailer 2”, “Call Of Duty WWII - Official Story Trailer”, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - TV Trailer” and many more.

Regarding quotes: I like to work project related, which means I want to work “with” you. So depending on your budget and the complexity of your project, I will try to find a deal that's comfortable for you.

If you like what you hear and you would like to get in touch, please contact me by clicking the "Contact" button and send me your (rough/demo) mix and we will take it from there. Or if you just have further general questions, please feel free to ask.

Sebastian was an absolute pleasure to work with: very kind, professional and understanding. He transformed my song and brought it to life in the way I envisioned. If you’re looking for someone to bring MAGIC to any song, Sebastian is your guy.

Sebastian Böhm mixed and mastered our debut EP. The recordings were provided by us.
After listening to the first demo we were excited about his work.
As planned, he payed attention to our wishes and requirements and the result is exactly what we wanted to achieve. Gladly we would like to get in touch with him again for future projects.

Interview with Sebastian Böhm

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: It has to be the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - TV Trailer" because my music was played to scenes of Darth Vader, haha. This was just a dream come true for me! :)

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Both. I just listen to the sound and use whatever gives me the sound that I want.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: I will always give you my best to get you what you want and I try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.

  7. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  8. A: At the moment there is no most commonly asked question, as it varies so much from project to project. But feel free to ask anything you want!

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: The most important thing for me is to have a clear direction and to understand your vision of the project, so that you as a client are satisfied in the end. So I'd definitely ask about your vision and your wishes. And if you don't have a specifc vision or actually want to have my creative input too, on where we could take the music, I'm of coursre happy to do that too!

  11. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  12. A: I think communication is very important. So both parties of the project/deal should always talk openly about all the aspects, to ensure a complete satisfaction with the whole process. In the end we all just want to create music that we enjoy. So let's do this and not let anything get in the way of that. :)

  13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  14. A: When it comes to music production I started out just playing around with different tools that I could get my hands on. After discovering that I really like this music thing, I tried my best to get into the trailer and film industry, as this was my big dream. Fortunately a few good friendships emerged with people who worked on the music for big Hollywood productions and they were so generous to take me under their wings. After learning quite a lot, I started to create my own path. Since a few years now I am fortunately able to create music for trailers, films, video games, commercials and I mix and master tracks from other bands and musicians.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: I bring life to a song, make it breathe and give it this "round" feeling, to make it the most enjoyable listening experience. Due to my cinematic music background I have a lot of experience in creating "epic" soundscapes. So if that is desired, that can be achieved as well, also with a normal rock band orchestration, yes. To me "epic" doesn't just mean big brass and strings, it's a feeling/ an emotion. :) In the end it's all about expressing and conveying a feeling with music. And I try to define this feeling as much as possible. Every song is a journey for the listener, an emotional journey.

  17. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  18. A: Everybody can do it. You just need to press one button on Laptop, haha.

  19. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  20. A: Don't look at values/numbers. Tweak it until it sounds good. There are no rules. In the end it just matters what is coming out of the speaker. :)

  21. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  22. A: Orchestral/Hybrid music and Rock/Hardcore/Metal.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: With regards to mixing and mastering: After a detailed discussion with my client about what the song should express, I carefully try to enhance the emotion that it should convey. I do this while making sure that all the production techniques and instrument/sound positions (stereo width and 3D depth) are chosen wisely so that the listener gets the most immersive and impactful experience.

  25. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  26. A: I get to create and listen to music!

  27. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  28. A: A pair of sticks (does that count as one?), a kick, a snare, a hi-hat and an acoustic guitar.

  29. Q: How would you describe your style?

  30. A: Cinematic, big, upfront, yet dynamic.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: Creating punch, clarity and depth, while still keeping everything musical.

  33. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  34. A: Hans Zimmer, Junkie XL, John Williams, Alan Meyerson, Chris Lord-Alge, Will Putney

  35. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  36. A: Mixing and Mastering.
