Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: OKC 76 on reddit's makinghiphop forum. Song sounds awesome. I did everything except choose the samples.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Filling out my soundbetter profile.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I just got here, gimme a sec.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital only. It's 2017 and this is a painfully obvious answer. 5 years ago I would have been on the fence but there is no question now.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will mix and master their music.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Music, technique, education.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Do you offer discounts? Inquire for details. Do you do free samples? Inquire for details. Can I get another free sample? No.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: It seems faster than it really is.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are you looking to get out of mixing and mastering your music? What do you expect it to sound like? How do you prefer to communicate? Do you prefer a discounts or value added approach?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Take your time and make the right decision.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started double bass at 10 years old. Honors orchestra, North Carolina School of the Arts (now UNCSA), Governor's school, and a whole of self teaching went a long way for me. Mixing and Mastering for about 5 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Tasteful, thoughtful, procedural.

A: Lettuce - I love the funk.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Mix in mono as much as possible. Use reference tracks to the fullest extent.

A: 20 years music experience, an incredible ear for aesthetics.
