  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: OKC 76 on reddit's makinghiphop forum. Song sounds awesome. I did everything except choose the samples.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Filling out my soundbetter profile.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital only. It's 2017 and this is a painfully obvious answer. 5 years ago I would have been on the fence but there is no question now.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: That I will mix and master their music.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Music, technique, education.

  14. A: Do you offer discounts? Inquire for details. Do you do free samples? Inquire for details. Can I get another free sample? No.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: It seems faster than it really is.

  18. A: What are you looking to get out of mixing and mastering your music? What do you expect it to sound like? How do you prefer to communicate? Do you prefer a discounts or value added approach?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Take your time and make the right decision.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: Started double bass at 10 years old. Honors orchestra, North Carolina School of the Arts (now UNCSA), Governor's school, and a whole of self teaching went a long way for me. Mixing and Mastering for about 5 years.

  26. A: Tasteful, thoughtful, procedural.

  28. A: Lettuce - I love the funk.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Mix in mono as much as possible. Use reference tracks to the fullest extent.

  36. A: 20 years music experience, an incredible ear for aesthetics.
