I create custom ambient and cinematic music using only my voice, shaping breath, hum and song into drones, percussion, synth-like textures and choirs. My wider composition work has appeared in trailers and productions from Paramount, MGM, A24, Apple TV+ and Disney+, and has earned three Saskatchewan Music Awards and a Western Canadian Music Award.
I create custom ambient and cinematic music using only my voice. Every sound begins as breath, hum, speech or song, which I record, process and layer until drones, percussion, synth-like textures and choirs emerge from a single human voice.
I developed this process in 2018, and it has become central to the music I release as Factor Eight. My wider composition work has appeared in trailers and productions from Paramount, MGM, A24, Apple TV+ and Disney+. My work has earned three Saskatchewan Music Awards—including Instrumental/Ambient Artist of the Year—a Western Canadian Music Award for Visual Media Composer of the Year, and a SOCAN Foundation Award.
I compose, perform, produce and mix complete original pieces for film, trailers, games, dance, performance, installation, meditation, wellness projects and standalone releases. I can work from a reference track, visual edit, mood or a few words. You will receive a mixed and mastered stereo WAV; cutdowns, loops, stems and alternate versions are available when needed.
When you get in touch, please include the intended use, approximate length, references, deadline and whether you need exclusive rights. For picture, send a locked or near-locked edit and note any moments the music needs to support.
