Dube Home Records on SoundBetter

Studio junkie! 2 Diplomas and over 1000 hours of studio time to my meter :)

If you want a great sounding mix , you can trust me to achieve this goal. I mix at approximately -6 Db, to leave enough headroom for the mastering process. In the other hand, if you have your mix, but you need a mastering, I do that too!

Important thing. if you send me your session, I need to know some crucial specs, like your DAW, your session needs to be ready for the mix (naming the tracks) My DAW's are Cubase 5, Nuendo 4, and Protools 10, if it doesn't fit, you can send the audio files (named, and bounced to mix)

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: We are perfectionnists!

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: It always depends on what my clients want!!! If they want a mix, I'll do it under my conditions: if the recording session is edited or not, if not I'll ask if they want to do it or if they leave it to my team (it's a small cost) then, I'll ask if it needs advanced editing, like pitch editing, playlist comping, elastic audio etc. If not, I start the mix by checking the phase problems, then I clean the tracks with tools such as a gate, strip silence, a cleaning EQ. Then I start the dynamic audio treatment, the compressors, exciters, transient enhancer, limiters if needed, tape machines, boosting EQ. After all this treatment, it will already sound amazing but I like to add bus compression for every group of instruments, it adds power! At this point, I will do a quick fader mix and ask my client about the the temporal effects they would like (reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser) so I can add it and begin the automation and panning process.

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?
