I’m RJ Full Range, a producer, recording & mixing engineer, and artist based in Southern California. I specialize in hip-hop, R&B, pop, and cinematic music for TV, film, commercials, and other visual media.
My approach combines creative production with professional recording and mixing, helping artists develop their sound while making sure the final record translates. Whether you’re starting with an idea, a demo, or a nearly finished song, I can help take it to the next level.
I work with artists who want more than just a technically clean recording—I focus on the emotion, energy, arrangement, sonics, and overall identity of the record. My experience as both an artist and producer gives me a unique perspective on the creative process and what it takes to turn an idea into a finished record.
I also create music specifically for sync and visual media, with an understanding of how music needs to function within film, television, advertising, sports, and branded content. I have well over 100 placements in tv/ film.
If you’re looking for a producer or engineer who can bring both creativity and technical experience to your project, let’s create something great.

Interview with RJ Full Range
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I went from DJing to recording and mixing. I've been in singing groups and rap groups.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Eclectic. I've been in and around so many different genres and sub-genres.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Drake. His understanding of music... from the creative process to the overall sound... knowing what it takes to make a hit record, or just a great record. They don't all have to be "hits".
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Knowing and understanding frequencies is big.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work mostly in hip-hop, but that's trailer hip-hop, sports hip-hop, cinematic hip-hop, trap, underground, sampling. I'm no stranger to R&B and pop though.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Production
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring creativity and many years of experience. I've dealt with lots of music professionals and supervisors so I have a pretty good idea of what they want. I have years of being in music from the artist side to the executive side. Experience is probably my biggest asset. I also have a good ear for good music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depends on if I'm producing, composing or mixing. When mixing I generally start with the drums and build around that. In hip-hop the drums are generally most important.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run Cubase Pro 15. I'm heavily an "in-the-box" guy so I have lots of software from Universal Audio and Waves. For production I have loads of VST's including, Omnisphere, Massive, Pigments, Kontakt, etc.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and Hans Zimmer
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I own my own studio so I mainly do recording mixing/ mastering and editing. I also produce and compose for TV and Film AND run a label under BMG Production music, so I do a lot of production work.
