I'm a professional songwriter and Japanese lyrical translator. I've had extensive experience translating full songs into Japanese as well as writing full songs in Japanese in RNB, Soul, Rap, and Pop. I pride myself in writing lyrics that are sophisticated and poetic, sounding catchy and also conveying meaningful messaging.
Being half Japanese and half American, I have lived in between Japan and NYC my whole life, listening to a variety of music that spans both cultures. I have written fully Japanese songs as well as songs that include both English and Japanese. Growing up, I was surrounded by music with my dad being a renown DJ (DJ Spinbad), and it has grown me to become a very versatile songwriter. My main collaborator has been Epic Records Major Label artist Mai Anna, for whom I wrote a multitude of English songs and all her Japanese songs that are set to come out this year and next. Endorse Kari Sullivan2 Reviews
I've been working with Kari Sullivan for over 5 years now and she has made a huge impact on my songwriting and my ability to expand into the Japanese market. She helped me write 3 songs in my upcoming album, including a full Japanese song. She also recently translated my song Sugar High into a Japanese version, making it sound better than the original english version which is pretty insane! Her songwriting is so unique to her style of writing and her musical influences I loved it. She is really hardworking and diligent in getting your vision across beautifully. Highly recommend!
