Translating soul into sounds
Elia Baioni is a bassist and composer with a background in jazz and classical music, and an open approach that embraces a wide spectrum of musical languages. He studied at the Conservatories of Parma and Milan, working with renowned musicians such as Claudio Fasoli, Enrico Intra and Franco D’Andrea.
Having lived and performed in Milan, Berlin and London, he has collaborated with artists including Heinz-Erich Gödecke, Willi Keller and Edwin Prévost, and was a member of the London Improvisers Orchestra.
Beyond his work as a performer, Baioni has developed a distinct artistic profile as an ensemble curator. Based in Berlin, he is deeply connected to a wide network of high- level musicians and is particularly known for his ability to bring together the right people for each musical context.
