Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: Frank Sinatra’s “Classic Sinatra” is especially meaningful to me. During the pandemic, I spent time listening deeply to his catalog and connecting with his storytelling. Later, test mixes led to a relationship with the Sinatra estate and the opportunity to handle Atmos mixes. My role was to create an immersive presentation while preserving the presence of his voice and the emotional character of the recordings. Working on music I had developed such a personal connection with made the experience unforgettable.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: Experimental R&B & POP music - Also a lot of music I can't speak on

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: New to sound better , not sure who's here yet

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both. I enjoy the character and response of analog gear, alongside the precision and flexibility of digital tools. Working with both gives me options, and I choose based on what the music needs.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I’ll treat your music with care, listen to your direction, and make thoughtful decisions that serve the song. You’ll get clear communication, honest feedback, and a collaborator who respects your identity as an artist.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: The moment a song connects in a new way. Sometimes it’s a vocal coming forward or an arrangement opening up, and suddenly the emotion becomes unmistakable. Helping an artist reach that moment is what makes the work meaningful to me.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: A key question is how closely a mix can follow a reference. My approach is to identify what you connect with—vocal presence, low-end weight, space, or energy—and interpret those qualities in a way that works for your recording.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That mixing is mainly about plugins or making everything louder. The tools matter, but the real work is deciding what deserves attention and how the elements support each other. A technically polished mix still needs to communicate the song’s emotion.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What do you want the listener to feel? What do you love about the current version, and what feels unfinished? I also ask about references, available files, deadlines, and required deliverables so we can establish the direction and scope before starting.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Find someone whose work makes you feel something and who takes time to understand your music. Share references, explain what you love about your rough mix, and be clear about your goals. A good collaboration starts with a shared direction.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: My musical foundation started in church in Brooklyn, where I gravitated toward drums, keys, and singing. Recording my own music led me into production and engineering, and I learned through hands-on experimentation. I later moved into immersive mixing, beginning professional work with Universal and Republic in 2021. That opened the door to projects involving both contemporary artists and legacy catalogs.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Emotional, spacious, and intentional. I like a mix to have depth and movement, with a clear focal point. I’m comfortable experimenting, but the artist’s identity and the feeling of the song guide where I take it.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Doja Cat - I like her because she's a studio kind of artist , she's very much hands on and understandings music like an engineer. I think a collaboration with her would bring out the best in both of us.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Never commit to anything - understand nothing is perfect , but a great song can other be good if your intentions are all completed.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: My roots are in gospel, hip-hop, and R&B, but my work has taken me across pop, classic vocal recordings, and a range of other genres. I enjoy adapting to the identity of each project. The common thread is a performance with something to say.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Translating emotion into sound. I can hear when a vocal needs to feel closer, when a chorus needs more freedom, or when an arrangement needs space. The technical decisions follow that emotional understanding.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: An artist’s perspective and an engineer’s attention to detail. I listen for the feeling behind the performance and make decisions that help it connect. My immersive background also informs how I use depth and separation in stereo, giving the music dimension while keeping it cohesive.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I start by listening to the song and understanding the artist’s vision, references, and what they love about the rough mix. From there, I build the balance around the elements that carry the emotion. I shape tone, dynamics, and space, then share a first mix and refine it through focused feedback.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I take a hybrid approach, combining the flexibility of digital tools with the character of analog processing. Critical headphone listening is also an important part of my workflow. My setup supports detailed decisions about tone, dynamics, and space while allowing me to stay focused on the music.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: Kanye West was a major influence on how I think about production. Hearing his music helped me understand that creativity doesn’t have to stay inside established boundaries. Frank Sinatra also became a significant inspiration—the presence of his voice and the way he communicates emotion changed how I listen.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: My work centers on stereo and Dolby Atmos mixing. My approach always starts with understanding the creative intent of the song. I have a artist background so I easily sync with artist because I understand from experience.
