I write memorable vocal melodies, hooks and harmonies for pop-punk and alternative rock. Give me a track, chord progression or song that isn't quite landing, and I'll find the melody and phrasing that makes it stick. My specialty is big choruses, layered harmonies and vocal rhythms that lock into the groove.

I've spent 25 years writing, recording and playing in bands, with a musical ear shaped by rhythm, melody and harmony. I grew up listening to my award-winning barbershop-singing father rehearse every week, became a drummer at 12, began songwriting at 19 and studied music in college.

My musical home is pop-punk and progressive rock (Green Day, Weezer and Tool) but my background as a percussionist gives me a particularly strong feel for vocal rhythm: phrasing, syllable placement, syncopation, space and how a melody locks into the groove.

Harmony is second nature to me. I love building vocal arrangements that make choruses bigger, create movement around the lead and add those subtle parts you may not notice at first...but would immediately miss if they disappeared.
