Mixing and Mastering Engineer

Low-tuned, dense and still clear: mixing and mastering for heavy music that needs both weight and space.

I'm Carsten, the engineer behind Sindri Audio in Germany. I mix and master modern heavy music: Thall, djent, metalcore, deathcore, blackgaze and everything in between and beyond. I also write and play 8-string and Baritone guitars as well as drums, so I know where low-tuned guitars, bass and kick fight each other, and how to make them coexist.

- Re-amping from your DIs, if you want guitar or bass tone built in the mix
- Drum editing and sample augmentation or replacement, matched to your kit

How I work
Every mix starts from a gain-staged, organised session. I balance first and process second, so the song decides the mix, not the plugins. I check the final mix against commercial references on several systems and deliver a streaming master (around −14 LUFS) plus a louder version on request.

- Delivery: 24-bit WAV master, plus instrumental/a-cappella versions on request
