Hi, I’m Keyvan Soltani, a mixing and mastering engineer specializing in rock, pop-rock, metal, blues, and live-recorded productions.
My approach focuses on clarity, punch, depth, dynamics, and preserving the character and emotion of the performance. I pay close attention to the details of each production while making sure the final mix feels powerful, balanced, natural, and translates well across different listening systems.
I’ve competed in Tourna Mix, placing 1st twice in Round 1, as well as 5th and 6th in Round 2.
From detailed drum editing and balancing to the final mix and mastering, my goal is to help artists get a professional, exciting sound that serves the song.

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is bringing clarity, punch, and balance to a mix while preserving its natural dynamics and emotion. I have a strong ear for detail and focus on making every element work together without losing the character of the performance. I’m especially focused on creating mixes that feel powerful, open, and professional while translating well across different playback systems.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by listening carefully to the song and understanding the artist’s vision, references, and goals. I then organize and prepare the session before working on the balance, EQ, dynamics, stereo image, depth, and overall impact. Throughout the process, I compare the work with professional reference tracks and check the mix on different playback systems to make sure it translates well. Once the mix is finalized, I approach mastering with the goal of improving clarity, balance, dynamics, and overall loudness while preserving the character and emotion of the music. I also keep communication open with the client throughout the process so the final result matches their vision.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in a professional studio environment with an analog mixing console, professional Yamaha studio monitors, and high-quality outboard processing. My setup combines analog hardware with modern digital audio tools, giving me the flexibility to shape the sound with precision while maintaining a natural, musical character. The studio is designed for accurate monitoring and detailed mixing and mastering decisions, with a strong focus on clarity, balance, dynamics, stereo image, and translation across different playback systems.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work I do for clients is mixing and mastering songs to bring out their full potential. I focus on creating a clear, powerful, balanced, and dynamic sound while preserving the emotion and character of the original production. I work with artists and producers across Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, and other modern styles, helping their songs reach a polished, release-ready sound.
