I'm Dell, a producer, engineer and keys player in Laurel, Mississippi. I make records with the artists working out of this corner of the state, and I take that same room to clients anywhere.
I'm the producer, recording, mixing and mastering engineer, and keys player on all four Organized Grime releases, from Once Upon a Grime (2021) to Beat Tape (2026). I recorded, mixed and mastered Drake Plankers' singles "Muse" and "Wanderer," and Grits & Greens' latest acoustic releases. Keys and engineering for Tyler Tisdale, vocals for Drew Young, engineering for Ray Bradford. I play keys for Red and the Revelers, and I'm cutting a new single with them as player and engineer.
A real Hammond B3 through two Leslie 122s, a Neve 33114 pair, two UREI 1176 LNs, an LA-3A pair, a Lexicon 480L and an Eventide H910, into Apollo x8 and x8p. A B3 has a mechanical hesitation between the key going down and the tone arriving, and the Leslie adds a second one as the horn comes up to speed. You hear both before you can name either.
