Interview with Monolith Audio

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: I promise to treat every project like it matters. I’ll listen to your vision, be honest about what the track needs, and put the same attention into the details as I would my own music. No shortcuts, just focused production, sound design, and mixing built around making your record hit its hardest.

  3. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  4. A: One project I’m especially proud of was a bass music production I completed under Monolith Audio. I handled the full production, sound design, arrangement, and mixing from start to finish. The project challenged me to push the bass design while keeping the mix clean and controlled. I’m proud of how I turned the initial idea into a polished, hard-hitting record that still had its own character and identity.

  5. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  6. A: I’m currently focused on building Monolith Audio and working on new bass music projects, while taking on production, sound design, mixing, and ghost-production work for artists looking to develop their sound and finish stronger records.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. It gives me the precision, flexibility, and control I need for modern bass music. With digital tools, I can push sound design to extreme levels while keeping every layer clean, controlled, and easy to shape during mixing.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: Turning an idea into something you can actually feel. I love the moment a rough concept becomes a massive drop through sound design, production, and mixing and hearing an artist realize the track has become bigger than what they originally imagined.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: “Can you make my track sound like this?” Yes. Send me a reference and I’ll study the production, sound design, mix, and overall energy while keeping your track’s own identity intact. “Can you work from an unfinished idea?” Absolutely. A rough demo, stems, or even a basic concept is enough to start building from. “How many revisions do I get?” Revisions depend on the agreed service and scope. I aim to get the direction right from the start, while making sure you have room to give meaningful feedback

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: The biggest misconception is that heavy bass music is just about making things louder and more distorted. Great bass music requires precise sound design, arrangement, dynamics, and mixing. The goal isn’t simply to sound hug, it’s to sound huge while staying clean, controlled, and musical.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: What’s your vision for the track? What artists or tracks are you referencing? Do you have a demo, stems, or project files to start from? What do you want improved or created? What’s your target sound, deadline, and intended release?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Look for someone who understands the sound you’re aiming for, not just someone who can make a track loud. Share clear references, communicate your vision, and choose a producer whose strengths match your project. Good communication and trust make the best records.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: Powerful laptop — the entire studio in one machine. Studio headphones — accurate monitoring anywhere. MIDI keyboard — for writing and sound design. Audio interface — reliable recording and monitoring. External SSD — samples, projects, plugins, and backups.

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I’ve been producing music for around 8 years, starting with a passion for electronic music and gradually specializing in bass music. Over time, I’ve focused heavily on sound design, production, and mixing, developing a workflow built around creating heavy, detailed, release-ready records.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: Heavy, aggressive, and detailed. My style is rooted in modern bass music, combining intricate sound design, hard-hitting low end, sharp dynamics, and clean, powerful mixes without sacrificing character.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: I’d love to work with Virtual riot. His ability to create massive, immersive bass records while constantly pushing production and sound design forward is a huge inspiration. I’d love the opportunity to bring my own sound-design and mixing approach into that world and build something genuinely heavy together.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: Don’t stack sounds just to make a drop bigger. Give every layer a purpose, carve space between them, and make sure the main sound has room to breathe. A few well-designed sounds will hit harder than a wall of unnecessary layers.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: I primarily work on bass music, with a strong focus on dubstep, riddim, brostep, trap, and other heavy electronic styles.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: Sound design and mixing. I specialize in creating distinctive, hard-hitting bass sounds and shaping them into clean, powerful mixes with depth, clarity, and impact.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I bring weight, energy, and character. My focus is making every drop hit with purpose through aggressive sound design, tight arrangement, powerful dynamics, and a clean mix that translates across systems. I also bring a producer’s perspective, helping turn an idea into something memorable and release-ready.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: I start by understanding the artist’s vision, references, and goals for the track. From there, I build or refine the production, focusing on arrangement, sound design, and impact. Once the track is taking shape, I move into detailed mixing and final polish, then provide the finished deliverables for review. Client feedback is incorporated through the agreed revision process.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: Monolith Audio is built around a high-performance digital production setup centered on FL Studio, with professional monitoring, a powerful plugin and effects collection, and extensive tools for detailed bass sound design, mixing, and mastering. The setup is optimized for modern dubstep, riddim, brostep, and heavy electronic production.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: Excision, Virtual Riot, Skrillex, Zomboy, Space Laces, SVDDEN DEATH, Subtronics, REZZ, Wooli, and Eptic — artists who push sound design, bass production, and modern electronic music forward.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: Most clients come to me with an idea, demo, or unfinished project that needs to become a complete, release-ready bass record. I handle production, arrangement, sound design, mixing, and final polish, with a focus on heavy, clean, and impactful results.
