Producer, mixing engineer and session guitarist specializing in rock and alternative music. My goal is to help achieve the sound your songs deserve. I will work with you to turn your raw ideas and demos into finished records, from arrangement through recording, editing, production and mixing.
My approach is centered around making songs feel intentional and emotionally engaging without losing their identity. I care about the relationship between elements of the song and I try to make production choices that serve it rather than trying to make it sound "bigger".
My own work mainly lives in alternative rock. I currently work primarily in Logic Pro and Pro Tools. I have experience producing, mixing and mastering my own band's music, as well as several songs for other artists.
After talking to you about your story and project, I'll listen to your demo and we will establish the direction you're looking for. You can send me the references you have in mind, what you like about the song, and what you feel is still missing. I'll keep you involved throughout the process and send you progress updates and mixes so we can make decisions together rather than waiting until the very end. Of course, I am happy to adapt the workflow to your needs.
PRODUCTION - The final delivery includes a fully produced, mixed and mastered song, individual stems, an unmastered final mix, and an instrumental version. Additional versions can be provided upon request.
MIXING - You receive the final mastered mix, unmastered mix, instrumental, acapella and consolidated stems.
GUITAR - You receive edited, consolidated guitar tracks, with both DI and processed versions where applicable.

Interview with Alper Parla
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that all songs start out as someone's idea and I get to turn them into reality.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Would love to say analog but I have to go with digital in this day and age because of the flexibility and ease of workflow it provides.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: MacBook, SM7b, audio interface, DT-990's and my Strat
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Tame Impala. He has serious production chops and is an amazing artist while also doing his own mix and masters. I think it would be a lot of fun and I'd learn a lot.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mostly work on alternative rock due to writing and producing for my band but I think my skills translate to a wide array of genres.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love what Finneas does on both his own songs and Billie Eilish's records. Also a big fan of Jon Castelli's mixes
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually do full productions or guitar work for clients.
