Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Every Project holds a close place in my heart. Working with DJ Magic Mike would have to be a special project that I was proud to be a part of because I consider him a close friend.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on a few songs with my beautiful wife and relaunching my podcast called "The Hybrid Podcast"
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: nope, but I will always be on the lookout and love to help
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital over Analog because I can do digital on a plane, on a boat, on a train. Analog is where the reel to reel is..but I do use some great analog plugins.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Fast Turnaround rate & High-quality product. Guaranteed!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The Freedom to be able to provide high-quality service from home. You know what they say "If you love what you do, its not a job at all"
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Why do I charge what I charge..? -I'm trying to provide a high-quality product at a great turnaround rate..Would you pay for first-class only to get coach quality service. No. You pay for first-class to receive first-class amenities. That's what I provide. First Class.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: It's all fun and games and what I do isn't that hard.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are your goals for this project? Will this creative work be streaming online, physical CD, or Vinyl? What are timed focused goals? What kind of music are you into? Favorite podcaster? Favorite sounding songs?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Before working with me, Make sure you shop around first to better ensure we are a great fit. Open communication is everything.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop Solar power generator Apollo Interface Mic & headphones...I guess that's it. I was going to say speakers but I work better with headphones
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been making music for close to 20-25 years Professionally about 10 years I aspire to help positive humans get their creative work heard in a high vibe way
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Multi-dimensional, strictly for extraterrestrial, get you feeling meditational, because this dude is High vibrational...or just really positive Hip hop & Rnb :)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would Love to work with Timberland and T-Pain. I just find their workflow to be almost identical to the way I work.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I'll share two that's really helped me out. Balancing the music volume of your tracks with a proper VU meter can work wonders before you even add plugins. Mixing in Mono, changed the way my mixes sounded overnight. Hope it helps!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip Hop and RnB is my strongest suit but I've been known to write in multiple genres.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Helping to get your creative work exactly how you like it!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My main goal as a producer is not only to add but to enhance the glory that is yours already. As a mixing engineer, your vision is key. Some people want gritty and grimey, Some people want crystal clear. It all depends on communication and figuring a common sound for the success of your record. As a Mastering Engineer, my focus is making sure it sounds at its best and streams at its best. As well as, prepare for Vinyl if needed. As a Podcast engineer, My goal is to decrease the amount of UM's and make sure all ad's are cut properly and balanced for all streaming platforms.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I wake up at 4am and I work until the work is done!
