Interview with Saiful Bari

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One project I'm especially proud of was writing the lyrics for a professionally recorded Bengali song. My role was the lyricist, responsible for developing the song's concept, emotional storytelling and all of the lyrics. I'm proud of this project because it showed me how meaningful words can connect with listeners and bring an artist's vision to life. That experience strengthened my passion for writing original songs and collaborating with musicians.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently writing original lyrics for upcoming songs while expanding my portfolio and collaborating with new artists. I'm also focused on building long-term relationships with musicians and producers from around the world.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I'm new to the SoundBetter community, so I don't know anyone personally yet. I'm looking forward to connecting with talented professionals and building trusted relationships through future collaborations.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. It makes collaboration faster and easier, allowing me to work with artists anywhere in the world while keeping the creative process organized and efficient. I still value the timeless craft of songwriting, but digital tools help bring ideas to life more effectively.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is to deliver original, high-quality lyrics that reflect your vision and connect with your audience. I value clear communication, respect deadlines and work closely with every client until they're happy with the final result.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: What I enjoy most is turning emotions, ideas and personal stories into meaningful lyrics. It's incredibly rewarding to know that a song I've written can help an artist express themselves and connect with listeners.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Clients often ask: "Can you write lyrics that match my style and vision?" My answer is yes. I take time to understand their story, genre and goals, then create original lyrics tailored to their unique artistic voice.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: The biggest misconception is that writing lyrics is quick and easy. In reality, great lyrics require creativity, careful word choice, storytelling and multiple revisions to create something that truly connects with listeners.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Before starting a project, I usually ask: What is the song about? What genre and mood do you want? Who is your target audience? Do you have any reference songs or artists? Are there any specific words, themes or messages you'd like included or avoided?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Share your vision, message and target audience as clearly as possible. The more I understand your story, the better I can write lyrics that match your style and connect with your listeners. Open communication and honest feedback always lead to the best results.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: A laptop, a notebook, a pen, a solar charger and a guitar. With those five, I could keep writing songs, capturing new ideas and staying creative wherever I am.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been writing song lyrics for several years, working with artists in the Bangladeshi music industry. During this time, I've written both released and unreleased songs across different genres. My focus has always been on creating original, emotionally engaging lyrics, and I'm now looking forward to collaborating with artists and producers around the world.
