I am a songwriter from northeast Ohio, as you can imagine, there isn't much to do here but write! I do everything from writing full songs to do small guitar parts. I specialize in acoustic instruments, but I also have a lot of experience in electronic music production. I get work done quickly without sacrificing quality. Interview with Carter John
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on an album for the band Glass Monarch, it has been a lot of fun and I'm excited to see through the end of that tunnel.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog most times if practical, but often times digital is easier and sometimes better. Digital is only getting better, analog still holds on though and I think that is for a reason.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I would say that it all comes from "talent", often it comes from a lot of hard work.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look for someone who cares to make the part they are doing as great as it can be, and not just the bare minimum for the money.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been a songwriter for around 5 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Music that is thought out when necessary but otherwise is very based on instincts and feeling.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I really couldn't single out an artist today, just anyone who is pushing boundaries of music
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When changing around a setting, just listening and not seeing can help you decide if you really need the change you're making.

A: Usually it spans pop/folk to heavy rock

A: We bring a lot of musical

A: I have a pair of studio monitors with a 6 in Focusrite, also Sony headphones for headphone mixing. I use an SM7 or a 58 for vocals, we have a few AKG condenser mics as well, and of course, an sm57
