Crossover pianist, songwriter

Crossover pianist with extensive experience of playing in all styles of music, including pop, jazz and classical. Highly creative pianist with excellent sightreading skills and the ability to read and interpret chords with sensitivity and flair. Classically trained, skilled at improvising, strong collaborator who supports the musical goals.

I can record piano parts for your project, either acoustic or digital. I can follow from a score or create my own piano arrangements. I can provide MIDI and audio tracks if the recording is digital, and have access to many virtual instrument libraries. I am also a vocalist and can create lead and harmony vocal arrangements. I can set your words to music.

I am a versatile and creative pianist with experience in many settings. I love all aspects of piano playing; reading from scores, improvising over chords, accompanying my own songs, and I see the piano as an extension of my self. My ability to interpret music and ideas has led me to my current roles which include studio work, cabaret performances, live jazz, ballet (Royal Opera House) / choir / musical theatre accompanying. I am reliable and easy to work with.

As a songwriter, when I am working to support other people's music I make sure I understand the artistic and musical goals, that they are treated respectfully, and are always at the centre. I am particularly skilled at setting poetry to music and creating soundscapes.

I record my own music, have extensive experience of working in a studio setting and understand DAWs. I am a sensitive and warm collaborator, and my love for music is apparent in all my work.
