Hi! My name is Sander Cliquet. I'm a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and mix engineer specialising in indie pop, alternative rock and modern pop. My goal is simple: to create parts that serve the song. Whether you need a memorable lead line, ambient textures, layered guitars or a complete arrangement, I focus on adding emotion, depth and musicality to every production.
As a musician, I don't just record parts, I help shape them. I can work from detailed references or write original parts that fit your vision, from hook-driven riffs and melodic lead lines to subtle ambient textures and the rhythmic backbone of the song. Clients often come back for my tasteful arrangements, layered productions and ability to create immersive soundscapes without overcrowding the mix.
Working from my studio in Breda, I record electric and acoustic guitar, bass, synths, keys and backing vocals. I can also produce and mix your song to take it to the next level.
I hold a Master's degree in Music Production and have contributed to tracks with over 1.2 million Spotify streams. Somewhere Out There by The Radar Station was also a Top 10 finalist in the 2025 International Songwriting Competition, selected from more than 13,000 entries.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Best of both worlds. Analog for the rawness and openness, digital for the workflow and possibilities.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will put my heart and soul into it. I can't do anything else. If the client is happy, I'm happy. :)
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creating something and seeing a song come together is one of the most rewarding and exciting things in life.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Try to have a vision for your song. If you are not exactly sure how you want it to sound, then bring references of songs / records that move you.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Acoustic guitar, Macbook, UA Apollo, Bass VI and Dave Smith OB6.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A blend of Adam Granduciel, Jimmy Page, Andy Summers and Mk.gee
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't be afraid to let certain parts / sounds be louder in the mix than you think they should be. A mix where everything is too "balanced" can often be boring and won't have enough emotional impact. Making the listener feel something is what its all about, right?
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mostly work on Indie Rock, Indie Pop and Alternative Rock. But have also worked on Folk, Pop, R&B and Soul records.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creating parts and arrangements that lift the song to a higher level and give space for the Lead Vocal to flourish.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my own creativity but without losing focus of what the song needs.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: As every song is different, there is not really a typical process I follow, other then following my gut feeling. If it makes me feel something, the listener will feel it too.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My heroes are Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead, The Smile) but also Adam Granduciel and Jimmy Page.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I love recording guitars: Electric, Acoustic and Bass. But I have done a lot of work also in playing Keys and programming Synths, recording Backing Vocals and Mixing songs for different artists/bands.
