Professional Mixing & Mastering for independent artists who want balanced, impactful mixes while preserving their song's identity through a collaborative and transparent approach. I focus on enhancing the emotion and character of every track, delivering mixes that feel natural, engaging and true to the artist's vision.
Hi, I'm Samuele Meo, a Mixing & Mastering Engineer based in Italy.
I work with independent artists and producers who want professional, release-ready mixes while preserving the personality and emotion of their music.
Every project is mixed personally by me, with careful attention to detail and open communication throughout the entire process. For me, every mix starts with listening to understanding what makes each song unique and enhancing it without changing its identity.
My goal is to create mixes that sound clear, balanced and impactful, translating consistently across today's streaming platforms and playback systems while maintaining the energy and character of every performance.
My work mainly focuses on Pop and Electronic music, with each mix shaped around the character and direction of the song.
Services include:
- Professional Mixing
- Professional Stereo Mastering

Interview with Samuele Meo
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is simple. I'll treat your music with the same care and attention I would my own. You'll always receive honest feedback, clear communication, and a mix that reflects your artistic vision. If I feel something needs improvement before mixing, I'll tell you openly, rather than trying to fix everything with editing. My goal is not just to deliver the files, but to provide you with a result that truly satisfies you.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I aim for mixes that feel natural, balanced and emotionally engaging. I don't chase technical perfection for its own sake. I believe a great mix isn't the one that's technically perfect, it's the one you simply enjoy listening to. Every decision I make is intended to serve the song and help the artist connect with the listener.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is listening before processing. Rather than relying on presets or applying the same techniques to every project, I take time to understand what the song actually needs. Sometimes that means making only subtle changes, other times it requires a more detailed approach. I believe that technical decisions should always serve the music, not the other way around. A great mix isn't the one with the most processing, it's the one that feels natural, engaging and supports the artist's vision.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I believe every song already has its own identity. My role isn't to change it, but to help it reach its full potential. I focus on clarity, balance, depth and impact while preserving the emotion and personality of the performance. I pay close attention to detail, making sure every element has its own space without losing the energy of the arrangement. If I believe a different approach could improve the final result, I'll always discuss it with the artist first.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Every project starts with listening. Before touching a single fader, I take time to understand the song, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and consider any notes or references provided by the artist. My first goal is to build a solid rough mix using mainly level balancing and panning. If a mix already works at this stage, every processing decision that follows becomes more intentional. I work from a well-organized custom template and apply gain staging only when needed. Throughout the process I regularly compare the mix with reference tracks (when available), check mono compatibility and listen on different systems to make sure the song translates well everywhere. My goal isn't simply to make the mix louder or brighter, it's to make it feel right.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mainly work with independent artists and producers who need professional mixing and mastering for original music. Most projects involve preparing a song for digital release, from organizing and balancing multitrack sessions to delivering a polished master ready for today's streaming platforms. I also help clients identify technical issues before mixing. If I notice tuning, timing or recording problems that could affect the final result, I'll always let the artist know before moving forward. Good communication is an important part of my workflow.
