Interview with blesssmeup.tm
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One of the projects I'm most proud is the Album "Drive Safe" by Luciennn. My role was mixing and mastering engineer and Producer, helping shape the final sound while keeping the artist's vision intact. Seeing the music released at a professional level made the experience especially rewarding.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently mixing and mastering records for independent artists while continuing to improve my studio and develop my own production projects.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I'm currently focused on providing the best experience directly to my clients, so I don't have specific recommendations at the moment.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. Modern tools offer incredible flexibility, precision and recall while delivering world-class results when used properly.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Fast communication, attention to detail, honest feedback and a mix that serves the song above everything else.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Helping artists hear their music become what they imagined or even better.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: Can you make my song sound professional? A: Absolutely, but the better the recording and production, the better the final result. My job is to maximize your song's potential, not completely reinvent it.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That mixing is just making everything louder. In reality, it's about creating emotion, balance and making every element support the song.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What's your vision for the song? Do you have reference tracks? Is this for streaming, release or pitching? Are there any specific issues you'd like me to focus on?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Choose someone whose work fits your artistic vision, not just the lowest price. Good communication and trust are just as important as technical skills.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop Audio Interface Headphones SSD Drive MIDI Keyboard
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been producing and mixing music for several years. I studied Audio Production at SAE Institute in Milan and have worked with both independent and major-label artists, constantly refining my workflow and sound.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Modern, punchy, detailed and dynamic. I like mixes that hit hard while keeping depth, emotion and clarity.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with Travis Scott because his music constantly pushes sonic boundaries and leaves a lot of room for creative sound design and mixing.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't keep adding plugins to solve a problem. Most great mixes come from making better decisions, not more decisions.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly Hip-Hop, Trap, Rap, Electronic, Hyperpop, Pop and experimental music, but I'm always open to projects that push creative boundaries.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creating powerful, balanced mixes that feel emotional while remaining technically solid and competitive on every platform.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I focus on clarity, emotion, impact and translation. My goal is to make every element work together while preserving the artist's identity instead of forcing a generic sound.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by understanding the client's vision and references. Then I organize the session, balance the mix, build depth and energy, and finish with detailed automation and quality control. Every project is checked on multiple listening systems before delivery.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work entirely in the box (ITB) from my treated studio in Sesto San Giovanni, Italy. My setup is designed for accurate monitoring and reliable translation across different playback systems, allowing me to deliver mixes that sound great everywhere.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired by engineers and producers who combine technical excellence with creativity, such as Mike Dean, Jaycen Joshua and Skrillex for his attention to detail and sound design.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mainly provide professional mixing and mastering for artists and producers who want a polished, modern and competitive sound. I also help clients improve the overall impact of their productions through technical and creative feedback.
