Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: I don't think there is a single correct answer. Both analog and digital workflows have their own strengths, and great results can be achieved with either approach. Personally, I work mainly in the digital domain because it gives me flexibility, precision, and access to a wide range of tools. However, I have great respect for engineers who choose to work with analog equipment and achieve incredible results through their knowledge and experience. Ultimately, the most important factor is not the tools themselves, but the decisions made by the engineer and how they serve the music.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: My promise to my clients is to give every project my full attention and dedication, helping their music reach its best possible version. I aim to deliver mixes and masters with professional quality, strong attention to detail, and a sound that allows their music to stand confidently alongside industry standards.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: One project I am especially proud of is my mix and master of David Tyo's song "It's So Easy To Love You." My role was handling the mixing and mastering process, focusing on creating a balanced, clear, and emotionally impactful final version. This project was important to me because it was one of the first productions where I felt I was able to achieve a truly professional-sounding result. I was surprised by how much the right balance, processing choices, and attention to detail could elevate the song. It was a great experience that strengthened my passion for helping artists bring their music to its best possible form.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: The most rewarding part of my job is helping artists bring their ideas to life. Every song has its own identity, and I enjoy using my technical and creative skills to enhance the emotion, balance, and impact of the music while staying true to the artist's vision.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: The biggest misconception is that mixing is just about making a song louder or adding effects. In reality, mixing is about enhancing the artist's vision, creating balance, emotion, and clarity while keeping the original character of the music intact.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I'd love to work with Lena Raine. Her music blends emotion, atmosphere, and memorable melodies in a way that deeply inspires me. Being part of a project where music plays such an important role in storytelling would be an incredible opportunity to contribute through mixing and mastering.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Focus on achieving a great volume balance before reaching for plugins. A well-balanced mix often needs far less EQ, compression, and processing than you might expect. If the balance feels right, you're already most of the way to a great mix.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I mainly work on pop, indie pop, EDM, electronic, trap, and rock. I enjoy working across different styles because each genre brings unique creative and technical challenges. My goal is always to deliver a mix and master that complements the song and the artist's vision, regardless of genre.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: My strongest skill is finding the right balance between every element of a mix. I pay close attention to volume relationships and small details, trusting both careful listening and musical intuition to make each instrument support the song. A solid balance creates the foundation for everything that follows.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I always aim to bring out the best possible version of every song while staying true to the artist's vision. My focus is on clarity, impact, balance, and emotion. Whether that means a powerful, punchy low end for electronic music or an intimate, upfront vocal for acoustic and pop productions, I make decisions that serve the song. My goal is to create mixes and masters that are polished, engaging, and ready to stand alongside today's professional releases.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: My workflow starts with organizing the session, labeling tracks, color-coding, and preparing the project for an efficient mix. I then build a balanced static mix by setting volume levels and panning before moving on to EQ, dynamics processing, and creative effects such as reverb and delay. Once the mix is sounding cohesive, I make detailed refinements and automation to enhance clarity, depth, and emotion. Finally, I master the track by optimizing tonal balance, dynamics, loudness, and overall translation, ensuring it sounds polished and consistent across streaming platforms and playback systems.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I work primarily in FL Studio using a professional workflow focused on precision, clarity, and translation across different playback systems. I use a combination of stock and third-party plugins for EQ, compression, dynamics, and loudness metering to deliver balanced, streaming-ready mixes and masters. Every project is carefully checked to ensure consistent results and clear communication throughout the process.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I'm inspired by composers and producers such as Lena Raine, Christopher Larkin, Nobuo Uematsu, Aaron Cherof, Toby Fox, Camellia, Synthion, and Ninajirachi. I admire their ability to combine strong melodies, emotional storytelling, creative sound design, and polished production. Their work inspires me to focus on clarity, musicality, and emotion in every mix and master while respecting each artist's unique vision.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I specialize in mixing and mastering for independent artists. My goal is to deliver radio-ready, industry-standard mixes with clarity, punch, balance, and musicality. I regularly work on indie pop, pop, trap, EDM, rock, and electronic music, making sure every song translates well across streaming platforms and playback systems.
