Accomplished Los Angeles based free lance/session bassoonist performing in Commercial, Broadway, Film Score, Orchestral, and Chamber Music. I’ve performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, with Prince and the Clare Fisher Orchestra, and contracted and played the world premiere revival of Charlie Chaplin's film The Circus with his original score at Chaplin Studios in Hollywood.
As contractor/player for high profile special events, my clients include Gwen Stefani, Avril Levign, Maroon Five, Josh Groban, David Foster, Kenny G, Billy Crystal, Bill Conti, Oprah Winfrey, Tori Spelling, Chloe Kardashian and Robert Zemeckis.
Chamber Music on international stages are premiere performances at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, at the United Nations in New York, for the International Women In Music festival, International Chamber Music competition in Munich, Germany, and three performing tours of Mexico.
I worked with the Film Music Society at Paramount studios to preserve the Paramount library of composed and recorded film music, contributing to the preservation of hundreds of film and TV scores, including Bernstein's score/parts to The Ten Commandments, Bernard Hermann's Psycho, and all the film and television scores/parts to Star Trek.

Interview with Jenice Rosen
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Josh Plotner, multi instrumentalist
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to complete the recording promptly to their satisfaction.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The variety of music I play
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How high and how low can I play? Answer: Down to Bb 2 octaves below middle C and up to High E 2 octaves above middle C. Can the bassoon play fast down low or up high? Try not to write really fast at the top. That's the English Horn's job!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That the bassoon is only used in a classical setting. It's a wonderful color to add to Pop songs and Commercials.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I'm interested in the composer's concept for the tracks, how they envision the sound, what they would like to hear at the final product.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
