A: That songwriting is just lyrics. In reality, it’s about structure, melody, rhythm, and how the vocal sits with the production to create something emotionally and commercially effective.

A: Be clear about the mood, reference tracks, and overall direction of your song. The more context you provide, the more tailored and effective the hook, verse, or topline will be.

A: A laptop with a DAW, headphones, a microphone, a MIDI keyboard, and a portable audio interface — so I can write, record, and develop hooks and toplines anywhere.
